Its going to be good old school racing at Silvan. The wide bars prevalent these days may clip a few trees, but nothing extreme. Trails are generally a loamy clay base, and can be slippery when wet. A few trail features, switchback climbs and tight decents will reward climbers and smooth descenders. The climbs arent steep, but do last a little while. There is no super hard technical sections, but be aware of the trail features if you haven’t ridden them before. The main descent will bed any new brake pads in quickly, and you will have a smile on your face.
See Parking map for parking and access. Entry into the site is at Road 18, however competitor vehicle access is not available. It’s a 700 metre walk/ride along a good gravel road (track 11) to the event village. Parking is at the Reservoir carpark, the overflow carpark and along Stonyford Rd
